YOUR FIRST AFTERNOON IN ROSWELL

Five easy stops along North Main Street—alien history, immersive attractions, photo opportunities, souvenirs, and a fittingly extraterrestrial finish. Park once and explore at your own pace.

5 ESSENTIAL STOPS

From the UFO Museum to Roswell’s flying-saucer McDonald’s.

ABOUT HALF A MILE

Most of the route is walkable along North Main Street.

ALLOW 3–4 HOURS

Begin early enough to visit the UFO Museum before it closes.

YOUR ROUTE AT A GLANCE

Start near First and Main, then work north along Main Street. These suggested times are flexible—linger where your interests take you.

THE ROSWELL STORY - UFO MUSEUM

1:00 - 2:15 PM

ALIEN MAIN STREET - BRICKTOWN + ALIEN ZONE

 2:20 - 3:40 PM

THE FINAL APPROACH — INVASION STATION + UFO McDONALD’S

3:45 - 4:45 PM

STOP 1 THE UFO MUSEUM

International UFO Museum & Research Center
114 N. Main St. • Allow 60–75 minutes

 Open daily 9 AM–5 PM
Adults $7 • Seniors/Military $5 • Ages 5–15 $4

Begin with the exhibits surrounding the 1947 Roswell Incident—the event behind the city’s extraterrestrial identity. Give yourself time to read the original accounts and competing explanations before moving on to the more playful stops.

STOP 2 BRICKTOWN + SPACEPORT

BrickTown: Alien Attack! and Spaceport Roswell
201 N. Main St. • Allow 60–80 minutes

Open daily from 9 AM; verify the day’s closing time
One attraction: $13 adults / $8 ages 3–9
Two: $20 / $13 • Three: $25 / $17

Choose your experience inside one building: explore enormous LEGO® displays, board an abandoned spaceship, or take a seated virtual-reality journey through the 1947 incident. Families may favor BrickTown; older children and adults may prefer Spaceport’s VR experience.

STOP 3 ALIEN ZONE AREA 51

 Alien Zone Area 51
218 N. Main St. • Allow 20–30 minutes

Typically open daily 10 AM–6 PM; verify same-day hours
Gift shop is free to browse • Photo attraction requires admission

Shift from Roswell history to unapologetically campy fun. Area 51 consists of staged alien scenes designed for photographs—not museum exhibits—so arrive ready to pose. It is a quick, playful stop and a convenient place to browse souvenirs.

STOP 4 INVASION STATION

 Invasion Station
600 N. Main St. • Allow 20–30 minutes

Typically open daily 8 AM–8 PM; verify same-day hours

Continue north to this converted service station topped by a flying saucer. Browse the alien-themed gift shop, then step outside for photographs with the towering green alien and the mural depicting the aftermath of the 1947 crash.

STOP 5 UFO MCDONALD'S

 Downtown UFO McDonald’s
720 N. Main St. • Allow 20–30 minutes

Open daily; verify current restaurant hours
Free photo stop • Food purchase optional

Finish beneath Roswell’s flying-saucer-shaped Golden Arches. Photograph the metallic exterior, look for the alien-themed details, and grab a drink or snack before returning to your vehicle. The building is especially striking when illuminated after dark.
